The Fifty Miracle Principles of A Course in Miracles

Principle 33

Miracles honor you because you are lovable. They dispel illusions about yourself and
perceive the light in you. They thus atone for your errors by freeing you from your nightmares.
By releasing your mind from the imprisonment of your illusions, they restore your sanity.

This is another expression of the same idea. Miracles dispel all the illusions about our being separate, being bodies, about other people being bodies, and of our being victimized, either by ourselves or by other people. They help us recognize that we are all the same, that we are all in the same boat of the ego world together, and that we will leave this boat together. A phrase later on in the text says "together, or not at all" (text, p. 394; T-19.IV.D.12:8). Thus, no one left Heaven alone, and no one returns to Heaven alone.

"They thus atone for your errors by freeing you from your nightmares." We could read this as meaning that miracles correct our errors or undo our errors by showing us that there is another dream beyond the nightmare which corrects our illusions -- and this is our "happy dream." "By releasing your mind from the imprisonment of your illusions, they restore your sanity."  Our minds become freed from the illusory beliefs of the world.
